Please post the experiances that you had during your outreach activities.
Such as,
-What did you do?
-Did you have fun?
-Did any opportunities to minister to anybody come up?
you get the idea.

Hey Cod Freak,
Good idea for this Topic. I know off hand that some went raking, some went to the Red Cross, and so forth, but it will be great to hear about it from the perspective of the individual students.
We made a Christmas CD with the middle schoolers that we're going to pass out at Thornapple Manor in December. It has the teens singing christmas carols and reading various portions of scripture with music.

From what I've heard, a lot of groups went raking. One group went to a nursing home. Another group went to the Red Cross and volunteered for 6 hours!
At the Middle School outreach night we recorded a CD of Christmas carols and scripture verses. On our next outreach night (Dec 9th) we're going to bring the CDs to Thornapple Manor along with home made cards, and give them to the elderly like a small Christmas present.

My group went to the Red Cross, and we had a blast...no...I mean a blast of Mickey Mouse plush dolls.

Um...I wasn't able to go to the second outreach, but I know that my group went to Manna's Market. The first time we went to the nursing home in Sunfield and talked to all of the elderly people. A couple of us played instruments, etc. and I think we plan on going back at some point and playing bingo with them.
It was an awesome experience!!

Does anybody know if we are going to do anymore outreach nights?? There aren't any on the new schedule, but I was hoping.

I know it wasn't exactly an "outreach night" but who else thought the scavenger hunt was absolutely amazing?? lol..I don't think we stopped laughing the entire time...except when josh's group drove by making fun of our crosses...lol..Anyway, I put our pics on facebook. If anybody's intersted they're in photos on my facebook page.
